I love pop-up books, but if they're part of our home library, they aren't books that my kids will get to read on their own for awhile. Notes from the Kitchen. Thursday, October 29, 2009. I'm really loving this song. Right now. It's so sweet. I'm hoping Lauren's reaction to a baby sister will be mostly positive. However, I am realistic enough to know she probably won't love sharing mom and dad's attention with someone else. Right now we're all excited to be adding a new member to our family soon. Yesterday, the boys went outside ahead of Jordan in preparation for a special trip. As I came out the front door to put something in the van, they scampered up the driveway grinning as if they'd eaten the canary. I can't recall which darling said what, but the context is the same. Mom: "What have you two been doing? Son: "We've been doing nothing.". Mom: "Oh, really? Then why are you smiling like you were doing something you're not supposed to? Son: "We're smiling 'cause it's just lovely to see you.".
