Just another WordPress.com weblog. Journal 18-Dec.4th: Your favorite poem so far. I guess my favorite so far would be “I heard a Fly buzz –when I died” by Emily Dickinson. I like it because of the large amount of imagery. I also admire her for writning so strongly about death, when she “could not see to see”. For my paper I have chosen to write to write about the Valley of Ashes, the color yellow, Owl Eyes, and the “World’s Fair”. I chose these certain symbols because I think they had a lot of hidden depth that really added a lot to the meaning of the story. I really like them a lot, especially his peoms “Fire and Ice”, “A Line-Storm Song”, and others of his. I think they have loads of imagery and many symbols and would be fun and enjoyable to read.🙂. It uses a larger vocabulary than the last book did and is WAY more descriptive. So far i really like Mr. Gatsby and Jordan. I’m not so sure of the other characters.
