Sometime back, there was a series of postings on various foot forums about a mysterious, deep itching in the heel, usually to one side or the other. I recently had this problem and found a remedy, but the original postings were so long ago that I can no longer post replies, so here it is anew. In my case, the likely cause was plain old mechanical damage to nerves at the heel from habitually crossing my feet under the chair and wiggling a foot. Flat foot surgery for autistic daughter. Our 10-year-old daughter has such severe flat-footedness that she's practically walking on her anke bone. The podiatrist is recommending a surgery (can't remember what it's called) where they place a bolt kind of thing in her ankle. She has autism which will probably complicate everything. My podiatrist diagnosed my ganglion cyst. I had it for about a month. Just as suddenenly as it appeared, it disapeared! I was in a car accident 4 years ago where i had a slight avulsion fracture, a moderate tear of anterior ligament and a rupture of the deltoid ligament, no other fracture. my doc at the time said the repair was more harm than good. now i am in pain all the time.even walking in the grocery store kills me.what to do.i don't know.should i go and see a new doc?
