Forks and Needles: July 2009
http://forksandneedles.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2009. In my previous post, I forgot to mention a couple of restaurants that I tried recently. First up, Crêpes in the City. Yelp link because it looks like they haven't renewed their domain name! This place has been open for around a year, I think, but I never had a chance to go until I was serving on a jury last week (forgot to mention that, too. Also, Porkchop served on a jury recently as well.). Anyway, this meant I was conveniently within walking distance of the crepes. This cafe ...

the best thing i did today: April 2010
http://verybestthing.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
The best thing i did today. Thursday, April 29, 2010. Today i applied for this job. And the level to which i am excited about it defies sense and reason. do i really want to live in minneapolis? What am i thinking? Yet i find myself gleefully fantasizing about designing filing systems for the seward co-op. that's the kind of dork i am: a secretarial one, and my shame is deep. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. And the best thing i did yesterday (which i also did today! Monday, April 26, 2010. Today i smelled lil...

The Twin Cities Breakfast Club Blog: Back to Our Roots
http://www.tcbcb.com/2008/10/back-to-our-roots.html
The Twin Cities Breakfast Club Blog. One family's never-ending search for decent hash browns, good eggs, and a sufficient amount of half and half. Sunday, October 26, 2008. Back to Our Roots. 2129 East Franklin Ave. Our individual grades have fled my memory, but they hovered in the B /A- range. Feel free to comment if you were there and you remember them. For me, the grade reflected my fondness for crispy potatoes as much as it did my nostalgia for my childhood. Fantastic hash browns. Period.

The Faerie Tart: May 2010
http://faerietart.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Bakin, singin, 'n' thinkin in southern Indiana. Sunday, May 23, 2010. Hope You Weren't Curried About Me. It Was the Winter Thai'm! I didn't post all winter because I wasn't cooking. In fact I haven't eaten anything since my last blog post, but today I am feeling hungry. THAI CURRY has been a favorite recently. I discovered that my domestic life boypartner is a whiz at seasoning anything, and when sauces and gravies need seasoned, I must leave the room and let him do his thang. Makes enough for 1-2 people.

The Faerie Tart: Sluggo's North
http://faerietart.blogspot.com/2010/08/sluggos-north.html
Bakin, singin, 'n' thinkin in southern Indiana. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. I recently went on tour with my band Fat Shadow and ate some really great food. Sluggo's North is the answer to my question "Where can I get some affordable roughage on this crazy trip that will taste amazing? This vegan restaurant (! The Frenc...
