The Barkalows: Winter Retreat
http://barkalowcircus.blogspot.com/2015/02/winter-retreat.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. With three children under the age of three, sometimes my big kids have to be patient, and then patient some more. Don't get me wrong, we work really hard to make sure that they can participate in all the activities they love and have lots of time to spend with friends, but when it comes to having my undivided attention, they definitely have to wait their turn. We even caught up with some friends from our last church who were at the same retreat. The three ring circus. Like Moth...

Bibi Sews: Martha's Madeira and Bias Trim Table Runner
http://bibisews.blogspot.com/2014/07/marthas-madeira-and-bias-trim-table.html
A love letter of sewing for my family and friends. Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Martha's Madeira and Bias Trim Table Runner. The summer night is like. I love this project, and it is already sitting on my kitchen table; it will eventually go into the dining room. Once again I used fabrics from my stash. The project was intended to be stitched in linen, so I used a heavier weave oatmeal linen with black linen accents. The outside border, Madeira Applique. Thread and a 100/16. I used a lace shaping board as direc...

Pintucks and Pettiecoats: August 2012
http://pintucksandpettiecoats.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 19, 2012. Have you seen the sister publication of Sew Beautiful. It is called Stitch Craft Create. I believe this is their third issue. I took one of my daddy's old wool sports jackets and felted it. I made four needle cases out of it. Two of the cases made from the jacket are featured in the Halloween issue. These are so much fun to make! They are practical, as they carry all your sewing supplies and are made from repurposed fabric. Do you have a special needle case?

Pintucks and Pettiecoats: Two more "Bella"s!
http://pintucksandpettiecoats.blogspot.com/2012/04/two-more-bellas.html
Wednesday, April 11, 2012. I found this lovely Tilda fabric at the Martha Pullen Marketplace. It just pops. Martha is the only company in the US that is carrying this fabric, I believe. This is the reverse side. I love the blue pocket against the bright pink polka-dots. Here's another "Bella" I made for an upcoming class that I am teaching at Barb's Sewing Center. Although the colors are softer in this dress than they are in the one made with the Tilda fabric, I still love it! This is the reverse side.
