http://confessionsofabuttonholic-tamsyn.blogspot.com/2010/02/button-workshop-feb-5th.html
Sunday, 7 February 2010. Button Workshop Feb 5th. Above is the necklace I made yesterday, started during the button workshop and finished in the calm of the afternoon.after all the other buttonholics. The Dorset buttons from the previous workshop became gorgeous necklaces with a little bit of freeform. It was great to have an afternoon of finishing things off. The button workshop was a great success! There is something about searching through the buttons that switches us back into child mode. Julie did a...

Michala Gyetvai (Kayla coo). Stitching is a language a way to express myself. Thursday, 14 May 2015. Inspired By India and Exhibition News. My sketch book " India". Elephant Ride at The Amer Fort. I thought I would share more of my time spent in India, an immensely inspiring place, particularly to me, as country which has a strong cultural identity through its crafts and textiles. In Jaipur we visited the stunning Amer Fort a short tuk tuk ride from the city centre. We watched wild peacocks and flocks of...

Sweet Eskimo Kisses Blog. Laquo; Equipment Issues. The Curtain Bag Completed. March 31, 2010 by sweeteskimokisses. Amy Butler Birdie Sling made from a leftover curtain given to me by my lovely friend Mandy who has wonderful taste in home decoration but luckily for me changes her mind frequently (the treasures I have in my home thanks to this woman no longer being able to stand the sight of something! That I must have done something wrong as the Heavy Weight iron on interfacing. One too many pins maybe?

Sweet Eskimo Kisses Blog. Don’t tell anyone. March 25, 2010 by sweeteskimokisses. More apologies re photo quality. Hopefully my poorly camera will be better soon. My friend K asked me to make an Amy Butler Birdie Sling for her a couple of weeks ago and we went to the fabric shop and spent a while perusing but nothing jumped out at her and we went away empty handed. Okay that’s a big fib, we went away without what we went for but as usual I still came away with a bag full! Would it matter to you? Anyway h...

Michala Gyetvai (Kayla coo). Stitching is a language a way to express myself. Monday, 22 September 2014. A Mural For Kenilworth. In the Summer I spent time painting a mural for Clinton Primary school in Kenilworth. This large area is their new art zone with several music rooms leading from it. I wanted to paint the landscapes that inspire me, the ones from my own childhood memories, the landscapes in Warwickshire and the changing seasons. Michala Gyetvai (Kayla coo) : A Landscape Of Stitches
http://kaylacoo.blogspot.com/2009/03/landscape-of-stitches.html
Michala Gyetvai (Kayla coo). Stitching is a language a way to express myself. Thursday, 5 March 2009. A Landscape Of Stitches. As you can see my sketch book is always used for exploring line, colour, composition and just experimenting and having fun! It's useful to record all my visual thoughts. By working the stitches on to the boiled wool I was able to create furrows in the land. The sketches I use as a guide, I will change aspects and develop pieces as I progress. I'm sure I am not alone in this!

Michala Gyetvai (Kayla coo). Stitching is a language a way to express myself. Friday, 17 April 2015. My Images Of India. A page from my sketch book. It was a very lucky Friday 13th of February I arrived in India, to spend two sun filled weeks, with my sister Nicola and her family in Bangalore. They arrived here from Warwickshire in the UK on “their adventure" two years ago. My sister’s life changing experience has impacted on my life of art. On my first morning I learnt about the fascinating art of India...

Pink Evita: Spring Break
http://twoladybugs.blogspot.com/2012/04/spring-break.html
Friday, April 06, 2012. Admittedly, Spring Break did not used to be so fun. The kids were little and traveling was sort of like riding a roller coaster with cats. But then a miraculous thing happened. The grew up a bit. They like to travel, they are excited to learn new things in different cities and are willing to forego their favorite home meal in lieu of strange and wonderous things on a dim sum menu. Now that is my idea of good times during spring break! Love the photos, Perrin! 5 more Minutes Please.

Pink Evita: December 2010
http://twoladybugs.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 27, 2010. I barked while our girls incessantly fought over who was winning at tic-tac-toe. He sort of sniffed and said, "Look around this room, see all the people with teenage and college aged kids? They are our age! May I never get too old to think it is funny when the Polar Bear is shooting the Tiger who is wearing mismatched Pony pants. I understand that some might think this is twisted. But, then again don't old ladies get to have their eccentricities? Monday, December 20, 2010.
