Moose In My Yard: The new 20
http://mooseinmyyard.blogspot.com/2012/04/new-20.html
Thursday, April 5, 2012. I thought 30 was supposed to be the new 20, and yet today I took a fistful of pills, had an ultrasound on my thyroid, and discovered I have two protruding discs in my back along with a slight case of degenerative disc disease, which is apparently normal for my age(? Thirty, I'm disappointed in you. You are not living up to all the hype. April 6, 2012 at 4:02 PM. Oh, dear. Seems youre allergic to doctors, too. Leave your loving words of kindness here. Moose In My Yard: BFFs
http://mooseinmyyard.blogspot.com/2012/11/bffs.html
Wednesday, November 7, 2012. My gorgeous friend that I've known since she was born came to visit. She and my father share a birthday. Our parents were out to dinner celebrating my dad's birthday when her mom went into labor. So when I say we've known each other since birth I'm being literal. November 8, 2012 at 5:37 AM. Very sweet Beth, made me tear up a little :). November 8, 2012 at 10:16 AM. Thanks, Im pretty lucky to have her. :). November 8, 2012 at 6:49 AM. What a great share! Moose in my yard.

Moose In My Yard: Kids say the darndest things. Part I
http://mooseinmyyard.blogspot.com/2011/02/kids-say-darndest-things-part-i.html
Friday, February 25, 2011. Kids say the darndest things. Part I. Mom, you're not supposed to drink and drive! That should have been my first clue that I needed to clarify some information that he had received on this field trip. Don't drink and drive! Don't speed or you'll get a ticket! Wear your seat belt! Sonny Boy's hand pops up. My daddy does drugs. My husband does NOT do drugs. He can't. He was active Air Force for 6 years, he now is in the Air Guard and he works as a contractor on an Air Fo...Our l...

Moose In My Yard: Paint: it covers a multitude of faux finish sins.
http://mooseinmyyard.blogspot.com/2011/03/paint-it-covers-multitude-of-faux.html
Thursday, March 24, 2011. Paint: it covers a multitude of faux finish sins. I had one day during our spring break in which the kids and I actually stayed home and didn't go anywhere all day long. It was wonderful. As I write this I am remembering when they were little and I was so tired of being stuck in the house all day long. I never did like the color of it. The previous owners went a little too far on the faux distressing. If I had put it in Princess Blondie's room I would have painted it a n...And t...

Moose In My Yard: September 2012
http://mooseinmyyard.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 4, 2012. All my Michigan friends and family are posting first day of school pictures of their kids today so I thought I'd join the party. I'm a little late considering my kids started school nearly three weeks ago but better late than never is my motto. Speaking of better late than never, I made my husband a very happy man when I finally finished this project that I started. My favorite part of this whole project, by far, is the movement of all the thermostats to one side of the wall&#...

Moose In My Yard: Sneaky
http://mooseinmyyard.blogspot.com/2012/07/sneaky.html
Monday, July 16, 2012. DH and I don't have many photos of just the two of us, so on a trip to Denali last month I gave the camera to Princess Blondie and had her snap a couple pictures. I learned two things. Don't give the camera to short people. You'll look like you have a Jay Leno chin. And second, my son is an expert photo bomber. July 16, 2012 at 2:07 PM. July 16, 2012 at 7:01 PM. Haha Thought youd get a kick out of that, Mom. :). Leave your loving words of kindness here. Moose in my yard.

Moose In My Yard: Toothpaste explosion
http://mooseinmyyard.blogspot.com/2011/01/toothpaste-explosion.html
Thursday, January 20, 2011. Toothpaste explosion is what I ended up with. I bet if you licked the walls they would taste minty and whiten your teeth. DH looked at my color choice with a slight bit of disbelief and then painted for me. Pretty much the exact same thing he did with my Popsicle purple front door. I'm hoping this color will grow on me the same way the door color did). Katie of Katie Beth Interior. Update: The finished wall is here. I got a burr in my bonnet and decided that I would forgo stri...

Moose In My Yard: Beaching it
http://mooseinmyyard.blogspot.com/2012/07/beaching-it.html
Monday, July 23, 2012. So far I stand by my resolve to not actually immerse myself in a body of water in this state. If the water temperature suddenly rises I may change my mind. I'll live vicariously through my children until then. Leave your loving words of kindness here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Moose in my yard. Kids say the darndest things. Part I. Moose In My Yard: How do they get out of there?
http://mooseinmyyard.blogspot.com/2010/05/how-do-they-get-out-of-there.html
Monday, May 17, 2010. How do they get out of there? My sister is pregnant. Check that. She was pregnant. She had a beautiful baby boy a day and a half ago. This is the first time that my kids have been around a family member from the start to the end of pregnancy. This resulted in lots of questions, but mostly just "How does the baby get out of there? Then one night before bed my Sonny Boy asked again and he was very concerned that it hurt the mommy. I said yes, it does hurt a lot but then the mommie...
