Sewing Through Life's Imperfections

Sewing Through Life's Imperfections. Sewing projects and home organization. Falling Leaves baby quilts. For Sophie, October 2007. R felt that her first baby was "orange." We picked out the fabric together at JoAnn's. For the orange leaves, I used fat quarters. I think I bought 12 or so and only used half of them. Some of the blue trim fabric was later used to make her baby brother a kimono shirt. The quilt measured about 3 x 4 feet. Up close of quilt squares. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sewing Through Life's Imperfections: Imperfect Me

http://sewingthroughlifesimperfections.blogspot.com/p/imperfect-me.html

Sewing Through Life's Imperfections. Sewing projects and home organization. For my day jobs, I'm doing my best to be a full time mom of 2 young children, as well as a part-time science teacher. However, I often slip into seamstress mode as a form of relaxation when I can find a spare moment. How I came to sewing. Spike, my maternal great-grandmother was a great seamstress who made wonderful clothes for my mom and her siblings. I'm aspiring to be as confident a seamstress as she was. Drop in bobbin with s...

Blanche and Estelle: April 2010

http://blancheandestelle.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Sewing for my sanity'. A friend of mine had the phrase 'sewing for my sanity' for her sewing blog. And I kept thinking of it all weekend long. Between sick children, potty training, night feeding, doctor's visits, and just general spring haywire-ness, I have definitely been turning to my sewing machine for my sanity. And I am pleased to report that several lovely items have resulted from this therapy. I have already made Coco two. Knit most often while watching episodes of Northern Exposure. Love tha...

Sewing the rainbow through the rain

Sewing the rainbow through the rain. Thursday, 18 March 2010. I put the eyelets in the AC's new drawstring bag today. Custom made, to the requirements of a very demanding client, this one of a kind creation features the Union flag material on one side, and the green camo on the other, making it fully reversible! Finished with brass eyelets and black cord, and full of martial arts gear, it looks (tho I says it as shouldn't! Saturday, 13 March 2010. Finished pictures of the scarf. Sunday, 28 February 2010.

Sewing Tidbits – One more sewing blog…

Sewing Tidbits One more sewing blog…. One more sewing blog…. Second hand sewn leather project: Travel Ipad Case. July 6, 2015. July 6, 2015. A few month ago, I finally indulged in beautiful box of Japanese leather tools. And sewn a phone case for The Old Man. To try it out. Pretty soon afterwards, I worked on the project I’m showing you today. As with any new craft, the learning curve is quite steep in the beginning. It reminds me a lot of learning how to sew:. You are not sure how to handle your tools.
