http://www.sewrayme.co.uk/2015/03/a-handmade-gift.html
Sunday, 22 March 2015. I can't believe a week has passed since Mothers Day, and what a day it was. I hope yours was more restful than mine - 6 loads of washing ( yes 6! After my 5 year old was up sick most of Saturday night. I did, however, receive some lovely gifts -. A massive bunch of Roses and this cute bunny from Lush filled with amazing smelling bath products. I've left it in this same spot in the sitting room all week as it's making the room smell gorgeous! I was very pleased with this! The simple...

Sew, ray, me: A taste of Spring
http://www.sewrayme.co.uk/2015/03/a-taste-of-spring.html
Sunday, 22 March 2015. A taste of Spring. How refreshing to finally see some bursts of colour outdoors, Spring has sprung! I have finally had the motivation to go outside and clear the garden of it's brown carpet (leaves, dead weeds, stalks from long gone flowers.). Wrapped up warm in the crisp sunshine, it has literally been a breath of fresh air to be outdoors! Woodland walks have been spent ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the abundance of Snowdrops. And splashes of bright, cheery pink in the garden. Div align=...

I also mentioned that I had been working on giving some products a new look. My crochet hook rolls. Love Alfie: Sibling's Together Quilt #1
http://love-alfie.blogspot.com/2012/04/siblings-together-quilt-1.html
Tuesday, 10 April 2012. Sibling's Together Quilt #1. This Easter has given me time to indulge in more sewing. I've been working on the 'secret project' - now affectionately nicknamed 'The Beast' - there's still a fair bit of work to do on it, but I'm making progress. A couple of months ago I'd set my mum the challenge of finding me some. While I was cutting, I thought these might make a good quilt for a teenage boy for the Siblings Together Quilt project. Labels: Quilts for Siblings Together. It looks fa...

Love Alfie: Spring is in the air!
http://love-alfie.blogspot.com/2012/04/spring-is-in-air.html
Monday, 2 April 2012. Spring is in the air! I even got chance to sit in the garden last weekend for an hour or so to do some hand sewing! I was finishing off the baby quilt for one of my lovely friends whose baby is due in a couple of months. I won't post a full picture of the quilt in case she looks, but you can have a sneak preview! I'm loving these colours together, and I've quilted it with a thin batting, so it's really light but still snuggly. Brenda at Just A Bit Frayed. For the Bust Yo! I know tha...

Even the word 'swapsie' is enough to have me running out to the playground at first break to have a play and eat a Wagon Wheel. So here's how this swapsie went down (I think) on Twitter:. Her: Oh I love your papercuts! Me: Oooh, well I've had a snoop at your things and your quilts are amazeballs! Her: Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Me: Indeed I am! Links to this post.

Learning to blog, one step at a time. Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Let me introduce you to Mr Orange Cumquat. Or 'Sunshine' as he is sometimes called. We met when we were (very) young. So we've been married a (very) long time. He's a man who likes the outdoors. And 'going bush ' when he can. He's been a great Dad. And worked hard for us all. The years have flown. Mr Orange Cumquat is sadly not so well these days. And it's been a difficult time. For him, especially,. To come to terms with the Parkinson's.
