The blankets sold in the stores didn’t satisfy me. I couldn’t find want I was looking for. I, in turn, made blankets. I made them simple, and they have stood the test of time. Create Something and Say “That’s Sew Mine! January 2, 2009. 8212; sewmine @ 2:08 am. I have seen kits in specialty boutiques that walk you through making blankets or pillows with outgrown clothing. Pillows and blankets are very simple to make. In my opinion these kits aren’t necessary. If you are able to deconstruct the items of clothing to get a flat piece, then you simply cut them to size and sew. I found this website. There are some very cute ideas and examples for you to check out.
