Sew Much To Give: May 2016

http://sewmuchtogive.blogspot.com/2016_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Memorial Day, 4th of July and Summer Pillows. I made some outdoor pillows for the benches at the front of my house to celebrate Memorial Day, 4th of July, and the glory of summer! I was feeling so good about having planted my flowers already. until the frost warning happened last week. All these flower containers had to be carried into the garage, and I was running around covering plants in the ground with sheets. It just seems that the dates of the season changes. Beach glass pebb...

Sew Much To Give: June 2016

Sunday, June 19, 2016. Fairy Garden: My Newest Addition. This fairy garden was created in a basket. The iron holder for the basket is an old Pier One endtable base turned upside down. This year I am growing my lettuce in pots since the rabbits in the area don't seem to bother them as much. PS My other fairy gardens are growing too. The drawbridge it done and I see the fairy has come out to play. Saturday, June 11, 2016. Childs Table and Chairs with Raccon Chair Covers. 2 layer fleece chair pad. Hours and...

Sew Much To Give: July 2016

http://sewmuchtogive.blogspot.com/2016_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 25, 2016. My Little Ironing Table. Yes, I have a normal size ironing board in my sewing room. But I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. My new ironing folding table that my husband helped me create. It started as a plain wooden folding table. And I bought a portable ironing mat. I cut off the iron rest and centered the wooden folding table on top of the mat. Centering the table on top of the mat. My husband hammered it in! Add the strip to the opposite side, then the two shorter ends. Sunday, July 24, 2016.

Sew Much To Give: Fringed Polartec Vest Tutorial

http://sewmuchtogive.blogspot.com/2016/11/fringed-polartec-vest-tutorial.html

Wednesday, November 16, 2016. Fringed Polartec Vest Tutorial. When I was cutting out this fun fringed vest, I had unfolded the fabric to cut out the vest on a single layer of fabric. Suddenly, I realized that I didn't know which side was the right side of the fabric. Here is a quick test to help yourself decide. Which side is the right side:. Fleece fabrics curl to the right side when pulled along the selvage edges and curl to the wrong side when stretched on the crossgrain. Since the fibers in the fleec...

Sew Much To Give: April 2016

http://sewmuchtogive.blogspot.com/2016_04_01_archive.html

Sunday, April 24, 2016. Fairy Garden: The Fairy and Her Jewelry Furnishings. I just finished making a fairy garden. It features a sleeping fairy in a tiny little purse. A beaded walkway with flower beads leads up to the sleeping fairy. The walkway is lined with silk boxwood plants. The bed is shaded by an inverted silk daisy. The table and chairs are made from a pin and a pair of earrings. The legs are made from pussywillow branches. The lantern is an earring. and the patio is tiny glass tiles.

Easter Junebugs | sew in harmony

http://sewinharmony.com/easter-junebugs

I’ve Been Featured! April 17, 2014. I’m cutting this week’s Project Run and Play challenge deadline really close! A crawling baby does not allow mama to work on the computer! For my Signature Style this cycle I wanted to create the girls’ Easter dresses. I’ve been wanting to sew up a Junebug Dress. The pattern doesn’t go down past the 18 month size, so I had to size the pattern down to a 12 month size for Miriam. I remember having hats as part of my Easter ensembles (usually sent to us by my Grandma Prie...

Quilting. Cooking. Living. Healing. How to Sew the Binding on Your Quilt. It’s hard to believe that Teegan is already six months old. Everything has gone so incredibly fast this time. Sew Much to Learn

Sew Much to Learn. Friday, January 28, 2011. It's not easy sewing green. I have now successfully created a pair of pajama pants! I did some quick Googling to research how I should go about making the pants. Again, I've seen my mother put together costumes using patterns in the past, so I felt I knew the basic steps. Step 1: Pick the appropriate size on the pattern paper, and cut it out. Step 2: Lay the fabric down flat and use the pattern to cut out the right shape on the fabric. It was so easy! After us...

SEW MUCH TO QUILT

Tuesday, August 11, 2015. One of my UFO's is Hannah's Garden by One Day in May. Its a 7-part pattern and I'm almost finished putting it together. Here are a few of my finished blocks. Most of the blocks have a combination of embroidery, needle-turn applique and 3D work. Can you see the two rows of ecru stitching top and bottom? This was new to me but gives it a beautiful finish. You do a running stitch to the end, and then weave the embroidery thread back through the stitching line. Here are the three la...
