Postage stamp quilt along. Welcome to the postage stamp quilt along yall. I've been wanting to make a postage stamp quilt for like EVER. I really, really love their simplicity. They're timeless yet so beautiful. So to kick off twenty eleven. I'm gonna teach yall how to make your very own postage stamp quilt! We'll spend the next few weeks making it.}. This week we will focus on our starting materials. Our quilt will be approximately 60" x 80". Yep the perfect "snuggle under me" size. 3 3/4 yards backing.

Step 3 (Sept '10): add a strip 10x3" (finished size) to the top of your previous two blocks. Alternatively, you could add it to the bottom. Since I didn't chose to embroider something I took step 10 off and went straight to 11, quilting the top. I used perle cotton threads in size 12 and 8 and some shiny rayon DMC floss. At the start of the month I decided to quilt both pieces but couldn't think how I wanted to quilt the blue so I left it and worked on the tan piece. Finally last week I decided on some simple stitch in the ditch. For the tan piece I started off with some straight line quilting with the idea of forming diamond shapes but didn't like it so . unpick! R7 and R8: Winter Star. R8 and R9: Vero.

SEW RUN ALREADY
Join me as a I take on adventures in becoming a crafty girl and a better runner in the year 2012. Sunday, February 16, 2014. Will Run For Kingcake. I have completed my 2nd race and my first 10K of the new year! For the second year in a row I ran the Mardi Gras Mambo 10k. I have to say: I LOVED IT! I had a blast! My recap and thoughts:. I was very fortunate this year to run with a great group of ladies! This is exactly what I witnessed yesterday while I was both running and standing at the finish line.

Wednesday, August 13, 2014. I can wear this to the wedding today! I slipped on the skirt and it was WAY TOO BIG! When I began this project i was 16 pounds heavier. so I went to work on taking in the skirt and assembling a simple strapless top. voila! The wedding was great. I am so happy for Ben and Kristie. These tykes were my stellar dance partners! Next up on the sewing agenda is to finish the swim suit I started in march! Monday, April 28, 2014. This was the first time I used my french curve ruler!
