Sewing, Crafts, Marine Wife, Novice housewife, Cooking, Baking, Labrador, Greyhound. June 5, 2014. March 10, 2015. I’m so glad this week is almost over! Having to be away from Jor is always extremely difficult. Not just for me, but for the both of us. I can adjust quickly to his absence after a couple weeks. Whenever the time is close for him to be home… I always find myself more emotional than in the beginning. Perhaps because it’s so close, but still not here? LILY 💕 (my labrador greyhound).

Sew Sarah | adventures in dress-making
April 26, 2015. I have really wanted to make another fit and flare dress with sleeves for a while. I only had one and I wore it to death and last winter, one slight over extension saw the shoulder give way. There isn’t much need, I think, for warmer dresses in Queensland. I don’t tend to feel the cold much either so a cardigan and denim jacket is all I need to convert my summer wardrobe to winter. I thought the cap sleeves on this Burda. I used a cheap poly cotton from Spotty that I got on sale for about...
