https://thesewweeklyreunion.wordpress.com/2013/09/03/the-lady-in-samba-red-dress-by-loran
The Sew Weekly Reunion. Because we missed it…. The “Lady in Samba Red” dress by Loran. Red cotton sateen w/ lycra. 1 zipper, 2 packages vintage seam tape from Z : ), belting and a bakelite buckle. 5 hours (half of that was hand stitching hems). Talk about sliding this one in atthelastminute! For maybe the third time in a Sew Weekly challenge there is not a finished seam in this entire dress. Not a one; nothing is overlocked, nothing is pinked, they’re all just naked : ). Brittany and I headed back to Mil...

In-between times – crab & bee
https://crabandbee.com/2015/07/02/in-between-times
July 2, 2015. July 5, 2015. By crab and bee. It’s been a few weeks since my sister’s wedding, but it’s still weird being done with the dress. In the month leading up to the wedding, I spend 30-ish hours a week on the dress, kicking up to about 60 hours in the week before. And in the six months before. I loved (almost) every minute of it, but it’s left me in a rather odd state. What do you do after finishing a large project? Any rituals to share? Wedding dress: design, pattern and muslin. Swingy Summer Dress – Crafting A Rainbow
https://craftingarainbow.wordpress.com/2015/07/22/swingy-summer-dress
Tried’n’True Patterns. Lazy Tips for Sewing Knits. July 22, 2015. July 21, 2015. This dress started with a bra. My new handmade bra, in fact – it comes up so high and has such narrow-set straps that I can’t wear it under most of my me-mades. What’s a girl to do? Make more clothes, of course! 😉 I like the crew neckline, drapey pockets, high-low hem and loose style – but of course, I wanted mine to be a knit. I even got Leila of Three Dresses. Hooked on the Mission Maxi when she came up to visit. The neck...

https://craftingarainbow.wordpress.com/2015/07/27/ponte-bettine
Tried’n’True Patterns. Lazy Tips for Sewing Knits. July 27, 2015. October 16, 2016. I made a dress! Another striped dress. Let’s not count how many striped things I might have in my closet, m’kay? This is the new Tilly and the Buttons Bettine dress. It’s my first Tilly pattern, and she’s nailed her demographic – this was super simple to make. Would it be better with a few more details? Well, yes, maybe. More on that later! Top-stitched the pocket bag to the skirt because it wouldn’t hang flat. The dress ...

Linen Alexander McQueen Kimono Jacket | Petite Republic
https://petiterepublic.com/2015/05/14/linen-alexander-mcqueen-kimono-jacket
Five feet and under. May 14, 2015. Linen Alexander McQueen Kimono Jacket. This could be the best project from me for 2015! I learnt about this awesome pattern from smvphotography. 8216;s p rojects. In 2008, and was immediately smitten. I made an attempt to make one then, but being only a year into sewing, it was literally impossible to understand the instructions and I gave up after cutting up the fabric. Fast forward a few years I saw Carolyn’s version. 8216;s version. It turned out – I think ...Close u...
