The Bruner Bunch: June 2010
http://krystinabruner.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Let the nursing begin. There are two words to describe my first few weeks of nursing classes.whirl-wind. The condensed version of my classes, though convenient, are CRAZY. Fortunately for me and my classmates today was the last day and all that stands in the way of us and freedom is two tests! One thing that has kept my sanity intact is World Cup! On that note, let's give it up to our soccer boys for their performance today and winning their group for the first time since 1930!

The Bruner Bunch: December 2009

Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Monday, December 14, 2009. After watching the season finale of 'The Biggest Loser' I have had enough. If these people can run a marathon, I sure can. For several years now it has been a I wanted to accomplish. I'm finally stepping up and making it happen, in moderation. We've also been recruiting other Abilenians to join us! We will need all the support we can get. Especially around mile 10. Posters and bull horns are preferable. Monday, December 7, 2009. But I must say that...

Finding joy in creating. Thursday, July 22, 2010. You Know You're Friends When . Best friends are really one of those sweet treasures in life. The people who help ground you, give you an honest opinion and call you when you need it, even if you just have five minutes to talk. Since living quarters were small, we learned more about each other, and all I can say is I am thankful. We married great men – they get our relationship.). Naturally, I gladly accepted her trash, and we were both pleased. The rest o...

Finding joy in creating. Sunday, July 25, 2010. HOW Did You Make That? In 2007, a dear coworker/design mentor and I traveled to the HOW Design Conference in Atlanta, Ga. This was my first time attending a creative conference, and I was nearly overwhelmed by how many things appealed so vividly to my senses. The speakers were passionate, the graphics were beautiful, everyone had a shared interest in something artsy, and people appreciated dorky type jokes. It was great. Fast forward three years. I̵...

Finding joy in creating. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Is a dangerous place to leave me with some free time. After perusing for fun items and silly inspiration, I was instantly captivated by several sites selling felt play food. I literally laughed out loud when I saw a latte kit. As well as a muffin tin, whisk and bowl. But I decided this was something worth investigating. I’ll admit … it got a little out of hand. Next up on the felt agenda: baby mobile. Friday, August 20, 2010. A Zoo Of A Halloween. I love...

Finding joy in creating. Wednesday, August 11, 2010. In college, one of the tasking commands from my professors I came to dread was the ever-enlightening, “Just be creative! 8221; Seriously. Do you think I’m trying to make things boring? But when those words demanding creativity were asked of me, I felt a distinct pressure added to the assignment. Granted, the shower is not an instant fix for me, but I think it’s important for everyone to have a place or space where your mind is free to test things...

Friday, May 27, 2011. Lunch time before a long weekend, so I thought I might share a few things! Today I go in for my 22 week check up on Baby Girl #2! She's a good wiggler like her big sister, so I'm hoping for some good stats! LaLa (my mom) says we need a belly shot. I'm still considering this gross display of humiliation. maybe next month. The current time is 12:34. My favorite. And like everyone else's toddler, she has THE cutest voice! More "MOE" (with sign). Bath "BA" (with sign). Your generosity w...

Wednesday, November 28, 2012. Two solid stories of gold glitter and curtains of twinkling lights will make my day. anyday. but i caught my self being torn between "Christmas decorations before thanksgiving? Christmas is getting so much flack these days for being over eager and encroaching into thanksgiving. Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Forward - with this free bus time to chill and think, there might be an influx of unimportant, random asides here. Haha, made you read it ;). And now I've officially progre...

Skolaski Style: Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
http://skolaskistyle.blogspot.com/2014/03/ch-ch-ch-ch-changes.html
Friday, March 21, 2014. Time to face the change. wait wait, just looked that up - its actually "turn and face the strain" which actually may be more fitting. Next week Sue goes in for g-tube surgery. There are so many many "what ifs" about what doctors call a "routine" procedure. What if they are unable to remove the breathing tube after the surgery and she has to go in to ICU? What if my employers aren't OK with me working from home? March 23, 2014 at 12:22 PM. Love you guys : ). Daddy and me and e and c.
