Shades 4 AIDS is a great opportunity for schools to involve their students in a rewarding program to increase the awareness of their community to the plight of children with HIV/AIDS and to engage in a fundraising campaign that will significantly reduce the incidence of childhood HIV. HIV Transmission to children. The facts are simple:-. Children with HIV are discriminated against. This discrimination has led to destroyed lives and lost hopes of thousands of children. We can prevent children being infected with HIV. By testing pregnant women and treating them will almost eliminate the incidence of HIV in children. Australian school children can make a difference. Each school can save a child from contracting HIV by raising $250 on Shades 4 AIDS Day.
