Thursday, February 12, 2015. A few projects for our February Seattle MQG. First up a Valentine's day postcard for a swap. I scaled down this block. By Sarah at No {Hats} in the House. To fit a 5" x 8" postcard. It made getting crisp edges a bit tricky. I guess I need to invest in a really good pair of scissors. My Fiskars were not up to the job. Then I appliqued the block with a straight stitch along the edges. I also started on the center of my medallion quilt for the BOM. Linking up to: Crazy Mom Quilts.

Monday, January 26, 2015. Spring Carnival Cushion Cover. This is only the third cushion cover I have made. I started the EPP in August. And then put it away. The excuse was that I was not very pleased with my choice of background fabric. However, I could not come up with anything better and decided to just finish it. I went out of my comfort zone and decided to add piping. It frames the pillow nicely. The 1" x 1" quilting gives it some added firmness. Linking up to: Fabric Tuesday. Finish it up Friday.

Am continuing to make weekly cards as part of Send Love Today. Which I learned about from Jen Waters. Have made several cards this week. Haven't scrapped in a while, but am looking forward to a crop on Saturday w/ Steph. Took Alison for her first dentist appointment. She did great! It's somewhat of an easy read, but touches on some serious subjects.
