Wednesday, 16 February 2011. From this question we have found out that we had an equal number of females and males. This was good as then we had a equal range. We can then find out what type of gender would watch the film. Age- 0-10(0) 11-17(8) 18-25(2) 26 (2). By asking this question we found out that more people were aged between 11-17. This helped us identify what type of audience we were going to aim our film at. 3Favourite thriller genre- psychological thriller(2) crime(5) action(3) man-on-the-run(2).

Shallow Grave Productions: December 2010

http://www.shallowgraveproductions.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, 16 December 2010. Shot Research - Six Feet Under. To find examples for the different shots we would use in our opening, we looked at real-life examples from both Movies and T.V Programmes. Below is the opening sequence to Six Feet Under, where we took ideas from different camera shots to use in our own opening. Monday, 13 December 2010. Butterfly Effect Analysis - By Omar. The close analysis of the pictures and text show the discomfort the audience may feel at that point which relates to the vi...

The Thriller Blog: October 2010

http://thethrillerblog.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, 31 October 2010. Born in Denver, Colorado in 1962, American director David Fincher did not start his career directing movies. His first works were directing music videos, working with people such as Madonna, Sting and Michael Jackson. He also directd TV commercials working with companies such as Nike, Coca-cola and Heineken. DVD Cover - Vantage Point. At the top of the cover it says '2-Disc Deluxe Edition' which is another way to attract buyers. Adding an adjective (deluxe) gives it a more fa...

The Thriller Blog: January 2011

http://thethrillerblog.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, 30 January 2011. My next move would be to research on marketing ideas and distributor ideas. To look into the different types of institutions, major and minor, and to compare them to find out which one would most likely produce our film. Looking into film festivals would also be a good idea. Sigh*all this to do, so.much time. Huh, how anti-climactic. For any of you who take offense to the above comment or don not take it as a joke.It was a joke). PS - Progress Responsibilities. http://thethrillerblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/evaluation-7-looking-back-at-your.html

Sunday, 13 March 2011. Evaluation 7 - 'Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? In our preliminary task we were unprepared. We didn't plan everything and a lot of the things we did weren't in accordance to the proper thriller genre. We though if we got some good camera angles and we did something spooky, that our preliminary task would fit the thriller genre - we were wrong. Medium close-up shot of the victims upper body.

The Thriller Blog: November 2010

http://thethrillerblog.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Monday, 22 November 2010. The only difference between the two is that the top one has the credits at the end whereas the bottom has the credits at the end.i did notice later that the credits were around as long as the video itself. Friday, 19 November 2010. Silence Of The Lambs. What really surprised me is that after going over the movie again, apart from the name of the distributing company, no other titles were shown throughout the whole movie until the ending credits played. The Thriller Blog: September 2010

http://thethrillerblog.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 29 September 2010. The first thing we see is a photo being held and flapped whilst the opening credits are running. The photo shows a room with red stains on its walls, most probably blood, mixed in with the sad-like background music suggests something has just happened. Each time the photo is flapped the picture on it fades until it completely fades out. The scene suggests that one or both of these characters are the main characters of the movie and that something has happened and the scene b...

The Thriller Blog: Evaluation 2 - 'How does your media product represent particular social groups?'

http://thethrillerblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/evaluation-2-how-does-your-media.html

Sunday, 13 March 2011. Evaluation 2 - 'How does your media product represent particular social groups? We have the female gender being shown as the weaker sex in our sequence. We didn't focus much on the character itself for too long as she wasn't the main factor in the sequence. Although if seen in this frame one can see that she's a young female probably in her late teens or early 20's - we've shown her as being tied up and a victim of a male villain. Sunday, 13 March 2011. Evaluation 1 - 'In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? Above is a 9 frame sequence from the opening sequence of the thriller movie me and my group shot. The frames above will be used as examples for the conventions that will be talked about. The conventions I want to bring to attention are;. Camera movement and angles. Mise-en-scene and Character Intro. Since there aren't so many things going on at once we didn;t...

The Thriller Blog: February 2011

http://thethrillerblog.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 2 February 2011. A screen shot, taken by a member in my group, of him creating a soundtrack for the thriller production. The application 'Garage Band' was used for this process where it's vast amount of sample tunes and loops allowed us to experiment with the music to create what we thought a suitable track which would go well with the sequence as well as emphasis what we wanted to show. Roses are red, violets are blue, everything's possible, nothing is true. Sunday, March 19, 2006. Amazing how quickly you get used to not working. then again, over the last five years i've been on and off work so often i've lost count of how many months i've been away from the office. but this week wasn't all feet up watching countdown on the telly, oh no. on wednesday, i went to see a dietician/health educator called jill swyers. Who is into raw foods and the hippocrates diet. Sunday, March 12, 2006.
