shan & brans: October 2014
http://bransonandshanna.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 6, 2014. And our little girl is so big! Pulling herself up and standing next to everything! Its been a big adjustment - I can't leave her alone for 2 seconds without finding her pulling up next to a chair or the couch of a bookshelf. But she is so strong! And she's figured out how to lower herself down from standing - instead of just tipping over. So that's something, I guess. She won't eat plain noodles if I'm eating Mac and Cheese. She wants the orange noodles! Still a great sleeper....

shan & brans: July 2014
http://bransonandshanna.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 6, 2014. My baby is half of a year old. Where is all of the time going? Six months has flown by. Teething. Drooling everywhere. Can't get enough things in her mouth and she gnaws on anything squishy or hard. She loves putting her pacifier in backwards and chewing on the hard plastic, instead of the other way around. She loves having stories read to her. She loves holding books. She loves turning the pages. And she's started to chatter and demand that she holds the book. This ...Tasting real ...

shan & brans: halloween
http://bransonandshanna.blogspot.com/2014/11/halloween.html
Saturday, November 1, 2014. I've never been a big fan of Halloween,. But there is something fun about Halloween with kids! Twenty years ago, my mom made a little monkey costume for Bryson as a baby - and it was a hit! The rest of my siblings all wore it and it was a legend of a costume. So, on this anniversary year, we thought it fitting to have Afton wear it! It was fun to dress up Afton and have a little Halloween party. We made donuts and had soup and all manner of orange foods. It was a fun day!

shan & brans: afton's one year
http://bransonandshanna.blogspot.com/2015/01/aftons-one-year.html
Tuesday, January 6, 2015. My little baby girl is a year old! If I hadn't actually lived it, I wouldn't believe it's really been a whole year. And even though I did. Live it. I'm still not sure I believe it's true. Sensitive lately. She doesn't like conflict, and she doesn't like when anyone rough-houses with her dad. On several occasions (and with several different brothers), Brans has started wrestling or something with one of our brothers, and Afton just goes crazy - screaming and crying like, ...So pa...

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas morn! Merry, Merry Christmas All! Saturday, December 6, 2014. I don't know, but here we are! A master of the stairs. She's super fast at climbing up, and she's getting pretty good at sliding down backwards. We're still a little nervous about her slipping, though, so the baby gates will rema...Expan...

shan & brans: afton's seven months
http://bransonandshanna.blogspot.com/2014/08/aftons-seven-months.html
Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Seven months has sure come quick and and we're loving every second. I know my baby has been changing daily. but this last month seems like she's been changing and growing every hour! She can sit by herself for a little bit, but if she gets distracted or something is out of reach, she'll bellyflop or fall backwards. But she's getting better and stronger every day. Getting longer every. single. day. At her last visit to the Pediatrician, she measured in the 91st perce...It's the ...

shan & brans: afton's eleven months
http://bransonandshanna.blogspot.com/2014/12/aftons-eleven-months.html
Saturday, December 6, 2014. I don't know, but here we are! She is very observant and seems to watch every move we make. She'll see me do something - like putting silverware in the dishwasher - and then she'll want to try. So we'll spend twenty minutes putting silverware in and taking silverware out. And after just a few tries, she figures out how to get it in the right place. It's really quite amazing! Expanding her vocabulary. She makes all kinds of sounds and has started mimicking sounds we make, t...

shan & brans: September 2014
http://bransonandshanna.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 6, 2014. Where are all of the days going? I swear it hasn't been eight months since this little darling was born. Crawling. Yes, we're officially on the move! Pulling herself up. She's pulled herself to a standing position in her crib a few times, and loves to stand backwards on the couch and pull up to see out the front window. She'll climb up my body, using my shirt of hair or whatever she can grab to get up where she wants to be. Or "You're not feeding me fast enough! She's started...

Sunday, May 11, 2014. Thank you for being my mother. Thank you for being the reason I celebrate today. Thank you for teaching me right from wrong. And thank you for teaching me that there are always consequences. Your voice is the moral compass I hear in my head. . I love you, Mom. Thank you for teaching me what a mother should be. I can only hope to be even a fraction of the mom to my kids as you've been to me. You are the best. Ever. Tuesday, May 6, 2014. We can hardly believe it's been 4 months already.
