A True North Traveller. Tales of life in Erbil, Iraq from a Canadian's point of view. Sunday, October 23, 2011. You know that old song by the even older band named Trooper? They had a song from the 1970's called "We're Here for a Good Time (Not a Long Time)"? They play it on the radio over here, whenever I listen to the radio from Edmonton. I think it has so many interesting lyrics, now that I am actually listening to them. It's so true, the sun can't shine everyday. OMG, they change every 10 minutes!

So while you are hitting the shopping malls buying your Christmas presents, I will be sweeping away the sand from the marble floors. I am talking to my parents a lot, and that really seems to help me with my homesickness. I have been away from Canada before for the holidays, but I was so young and stupid, LOL!
