Teaching Gratitude In a World That Doesn’t. September 10, 2015. So out of pure obligation, I go and buy my child a book. But wait, I only purchased one book, no poster, flexible pencil, bookmark? What about the wishlist I filled out at length on the front and back, my child says. “Last year, you purchased 5 books. Why this year only one? Am I being punished? I want more.” I don’t think anything breaks my heart more than seeing my child be ungrateful. Is this how I raised you? Where did I go wrong?

Our family was not normal as my father was constantly off delivering babies but we certainly had a lot of love. I always had a passion for performing and knew that was my God given gift.
