June 24, 2012. My 5 year old niece is not exactly the flower-girl type. She would rather go play in the dirt than wear a dress and look pretty. But that didn't discourage me. she's not going to get out of it - the job is hers! I did get her to agree to a dress - with the condition that it was not a girly color, not a tutu, and that it had sparkles on it. She actually requested the sparkles which I thought was kind of funny, but hey I like sparkles so that worked for me. On to Plan B - making her dress.
