This is a gathering place for Friends and Family and the story of Shannon's journey through cancer treatment and recovery. Thursday, August 23, 2007. Friends and Family,. God hears your prayers for Shannon! DANCE MONSTER

Monday, March 15, 2010. Funny how the vegetarian is the one adding the lobsters to the pot! Half a pound of butter.literally. We all know that lobster is just an expensive excuse to eat obscene amounts of butter! Build your own salad with bocconcini. Note the copious amount of champagne and wine bottles on hand. It was a fabulous night.and a rough morning! Whitney and I actually had tea, Caesars and salad for breakfast. Strange combo but it helped straighten me out.thank God! Saturday, January 09, 2010.

From Korea with Love

Sunday, April 25, 2010. Japan, round two: the cherry blossom exodus. That I’m-in-Japan-and-couldn’t-be-more-elated smile? Yeah, it pretty much didn’t leave my face for the entire weekend. I say “pretty much” because no teacher-salaried individual can feel happy things when coughing up the exorbidant cost of a Japanese train ticket. It might not be possible. It put a little pebble in my path when I first arrived; however, it didn’t last long. April 10-12, 2010 marked one of the best weekends of my life.

Shannon's Garden | Growing my pantry one plot at a time.

Growing my pantry one plot at a time. Bounty in a Year of Rest. October 3, 2014. Harvest time has come around once again. Hot sun and icy breezes fight over which season should dominate, and as the leaves decide whether or not to turn just yet, I look back over the easy rhythm I found with the garden this year. Between the volunteer lettuce that I transplanted, the starts I encouraged, and the random seed I scattered, my husband and I enjoyed lettuce-based salads from April through June. I gathered about...
