I was updating a calculated column in the same "Parent" list, but not affecting nor touching the other field I had, but now, when looking at views and the individual parent item, I noticed the "[ID]" was now blank. Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Ever wondered when editing a webpart's properties what that "Audiences" box helped you do? Well when I figured out how I could use it, I used the hell out of it. It's a neat little addition but has its drawbacks. Audiences allow you to control who can see that webpart. Simple as that.
