Vanguard Showhouse 2004 - Interior Image

This bathroom was tucked into the eaves, and I really wanted it to be a happy surprise. That's what prompted the orange walls. I hand painted them with a 4" paintbrush, just randomly. Brushing on three coats. No glaze was used, and what resulted was a nice vintage-look finish. I hand smocked the linen drapes, custom made the buttons, and lined them in a striped silk. I hand made the three-shelf table with wooden spools, and I built the medicine cabinet.

Vanguard Showhouse 2002 - Interior Image

This was my first solo showhouse room, and it was the upstairs foyer in a very large house in Loudonville, NY. Every print and its accompanying borders and embellishments were all hand cut and decoupaged to the walls,. In the style of an old Georgian Print Room. All told, I spent over 40 hours cutting all of the paper pieces, and another 10 or so decoupaging them to the walls. The decorative wall finish was a cream glaze over a base coat of yellow.

This was a guest room in a newer construction home. The bed is an antique. I made the bench from a vintage headboard and footboard, and upholstered it in linen. The flower paintings were all done by me to add a punch of color to the room. The cream window treatments and bedding were a nice contrast to the chocolate walls. A lot of visitors to the home told me that this was the one room in the house that felt "homey" and. That they could actually see themselves living in it.

A light foundation, mascara, and a lip gloss are all you need to look polished. If we are doing a more stylized/glamorous/fashion type session, then you may certainly glam it up! 3 Get a fresh manicure or remove chipped polish from fingers and toes. This is VERY important! Chipped nails are a pain to edit out, and will cost extra.
