Russet Street Reno: December 2014
http://www.russetstreetreno.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 11, 2014. I wanted to share our mostly-finished dining room. This used to be a strange little space complete with off-center boob light and awkward tile near the door to the garage. Well, the tile is still there because we really do need it, but I think the addition of our teal rug really helps the space feel cozy and intentional. And no more boob light! We have also started installing the new white baseboard which we love. The new chandelier is this one. From Sea Gull lighting. In the...

Russet Street Reno: August 2015
http://www.russetstreetreno.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 11, 2015. When we bought this house, the downstairs family room looked like this:. The most offensive parts of the this room were:. The stupid corner shelves on either side of the fireplace that were meant to hold decorative plates, but were useless for anything else. The huge gas fireplace itself and the brassy fireplace front. The awful brown brick accent walls.but at least its real brick fronts and not faux panels. The boob light above the fireplace. On the ceiling rather than the pane...

Little House on the Corner: Front Door Facelift
http://ourhouseonthecorner.blogspot.com/2010/02/front-door-facelift.html
Saturday, February 13, 2010. Well, it was bound to happen eventually. After my sister painted her front door bright yellow. And after seeing a lot of other colorful front doors out there in blogland, I've got the itch! I hadn't really considered painting our door up until recently; I guess I've been so focused on the inside. But the more I look at our non-descript door, the more I realize that it needs a makeover! So the question is, of course, what hue to choose? I also found this article. The more I th...

Russet Street Reno: September 2014
http://www.russetstreetreno.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Orange is the new red. The front door is (mostly) painted with SW Obstinate Orange! Here is the before:. Yes, this is a very boring builder special door. But for now, it has to do. Unfortunately, I did a very very stupid, very bad thing. I thought since I bought fancy Sherwin Williams paint - Resilience Exterior Satin - that I could just sand well and paint. This picture show two more coats. Oh my gosh, this project will never end! I called a contractor that only installs s...

Happy Halloween is coming! View my complete profile. Thanks Mona, Lisa, Susan, Barb and Lisa! Thanks Lorna and Natalie. Thanks Cathy, and Terry! Thursday, October 8, 2009. I have an addiction to Fall, it is my most favorite time of year and I don't even live in a state with all the beauties of it! I mean, I really love the traditional New England Fall with all the leaves changing colors and the chill and decor! So I couldn't help myself and added more to my fall collection lol. Lol So did the pumpkins!
