Frankenstitchery: February 2014
http://frankenstitchery.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, 15 February 2014. First Post Of The Year. How can we be half way through February already? I've been busy getting ready for doing a talk at a local Rural with my dolls. I did it on Wednesday and I was way more nervious this time than the first time I did it a few years ago. Everyone seemed interested and loved the dolls though. I managed to get a few quick snaps this time. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. First Post Of The Year. When did that happen? All Photographs of the ...

Frankenstitchery: August 2014
http://frankenstitchery.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, 3 August 2014. I've had a bit of time to do some sewing over the last week. I managed to get a curtain made to hide the recycling boxes in my kitchen. Classic Movie Monsters :). And I embroidered a set of nakpins with a Shakespeare quote in the shape of a skull, which are now listed on the Etsy shop. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I love watching Hammer Horror and old monster and B-movies. These inspired the name Frankenstitchery and it probably shows in a lot of the things I make.

Frankenstitchery: August 2012
http://frankenstitchery.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 14 August 2012. I'm finally moving into a place of my own! I should get the keys 5 weeks on Friday. It won't come soon enough! It's an upstairs 4 in a block flat wit 2 bedrooms. You know what that means? The young couple that have it just now have done a lot of work to it and it's lovely. They have a 4 year old little girl and her room is currenly candy pink. It will be the sewing room, so it's not staying candy pink, but that's all I'll need to do. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). All Photographs of...

Frankenstitchery: April 2013
http://frankenstitchery.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 14 April 2013. I've been watching "The Great British Sewing Bee", as most people interested in sewing probably have. It's been really good for us at http:/ sewmaterialistic.co.uk/. We've just got lots of new fabrics in at the shop which you can see on the shop facebook page https:/ www.facebook.com/SewMaterialisticAyr. I've been using The Sewing Bee as motivation to do some hand sewing while watching tv at night. This is the applique on the project I'm doing just now. Can you guess who it is yet?

Sunday, 1 December 2013. I did manage to embroider a Zombie Santa onto a tea towel last weekend. It's on the etsy shop now. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hello I've always been a very crafty person but I only started using a sewing machine when I was about 20. 14 years on and I have an Honours degree in Clothing Design and Manufacture and I teach sewing and machine embroidery in the fabric shop I work in and I really enjoy it! I really need to work on the flat some more and get some pictures up on the wall. I have bought a frame for one, so that's something. Labels: Bags and Purses.

Frankenstitchery: July 2012
http://frankenstitchery.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Monday, 2 July 2012. Not had chance to post in ages. I've been really busy with stuff. The Etsy shop was going quite well but I recently deactivated a lot of the listings in order to put it for sale in a local fashion boutique. So we will see how that goes. I need to get some more stuff made up for Etsy though. I saw some friends last weekend for the first time this year. We danced to 80's rock at Maggie May's in Glasgow then went to see Rock of Ages at the cinema the next day. LOVED IT! All Photographs ...
