Oblate Blog: August 2010

Thursday, August 12, 2010. Today's Coptic monks: See 1,700 years into the past. A Benedictine oblate blog. Coptics are from Egypt. As a Protestant I wondered about early Christianity. How did early Christians live, what did they believe, how did they view the world? Seeing the lives of these modern-day monks is just like looking back 1,700 years to some of the earliest Christians. Journey Back to Eden. And Sacrifice in the Desert. In Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA. St. Vincent Archabbey is the first ...Is th...

View my complete profile. Monday, 20 October 2008. Ethan has for quite a while now 'appeared' to be slightly deaf and as we have a history of glue ear among my children he's going to be sent for a hearing test in the near future. Will update what the outcome is once we've been. Hugs to all. Have some more photo's to post soon so watch this space. If he has Glue Ear you can ask the doctor to prescribe Otovent. It is a non-surgical drug free treatment available on prescription. 20 October 2008 at 14:02.

Ahhhh now we've collapsed into a mass of giggles. Goodness knows what Ethan was doing at this point but he did a great job of centering us even if he di...

http://ethancarney.blogspot.com/2010/03/way-overdue-update.html
View my complete profile. Thursday, 25 March 2010. Way overdue an update. The 4th March, 2010 was World Book Day and here is Ethan dressed up as Long John Silver obviously lol ;). He had a fab day! Although not keen initially to pick up a pencil [it's a boy thing] he's also just become keen to write, draw and colour anything and everything. I love the way that Ethan does things when he's good and ready and won't be rushed. He's his own man. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A little boy to love. The Gr...
