Sharper Innovations - Austin, Texas. Sunday, December 11, 2011. Scott Darnell's 7.1 Home Theater Install! Many thanks to Scott Darnell for the install this weekend! I completely trashed this room, but when I finished, it absolutely rocked. Added a Microsoft Kinect above the screen, which needed (2) powered extension usb cables. Also built some shelves in the closet, installed a heat fan for ventilation, and Scott provided some shelf lights with built-in sensors. Check out the piks! Indeed it looks great!

I extended a romex from the power outlet down below and installed a power outlet behind the panel. And as usual, i used an audio port to hide the wires inside the wall to the equipment down below. We bolted the panel to the wall which was inside an 8" deep hole. The panel was 3.4" deep and the mount was 4", so it sits flush with the rocks.
