The Carroll Clan: 31 Things: Days 10 & 11
http://becky-liz.blogspot.com/2012/06/31-things-days-10-11.html
31 Things: Days 10 and 11. Our evenings have made a big turnaround. Since I made the switch in my hours I am actually enjoying our evenings quite a bit more. They’re less rushed and less hectic. I can actually enjoy the time with my family and not feel like I wasted an entire day at the office to come home and hurry my kids through dinner, bath and story time. We try to sit down as a family and eat dinner. On nights that Steve doesn’t have softball or Ally soccer, we sit down and eat as a famil...Side st...

The Carroll Clan: May 2012
http://becky-liz.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
I've been really getting into this world of digital scrapbooking lately. It's all, of course, thanks to my friend Lindsay. And her influence (guidance/teaching/whatever.) I started out being pretty unsure of the process. I felt a little silly about "scrapbooking.". But then I really started to think about it. I started something called Project Life. In the beginning of the year and am really (really) liking it. Here's what it means for me:. Where you can get all the digital Project Life kits. My least fu...

Well Hello There. It's Been Awhile. I really didn't think I’d believe. When. Posted about how these voodoo-hippie oils were working for her and her family I rolled my eyes. When she started losing weight by taking capsules full of the hippie stuff, I didn't believe either (but I tried it – more on that later.) When I started diffusing an oil here or there to help with my anxiety and stress levels I chalked it up to the placebo effect (cause they totally work). But believe? Monday afternoon – Allyso...

The Carroll Clan: 31 Things: Days 12 and 13
http://becky-liz.blogspot.com/2012/07/31-things-days-12-and-13.html
31 Things: Days 12 and 13. TV watching, like many other things, most specifically private time in the restroom and long, luxurious baths, went out the window once I had children. Well, not since I had children, but since I had a child that is old enough to look at the TV and say, “Mom! What is that blood? I love dead shows. I used to, and up until recently, watch every iteration of CSI, Law and Order, NCIS, Bones, etc. (notice the pattern? No way Jose. We had to find another way. View my complete profile.

31 Things: Days 6 and 7. I really enjoyed these next two stories. Writing about myself can be difficult at times, but the prompts that Ali. Provided made it much easier. The second story, the one about work, was fun too but it could be that I’m just still so new in my job that it’s enjoyable and exciting for me right now. You should really like what you do, right? Why else would I get up and leave my family every morning. Favorite part of my day:. Motherhood and career. How to be all things to all pe...

The Carroll Clan: ...Project Life...
http://becky-liz.blogspot.com/p/project-life.html
In early 2012 my friend Lindsay asked me if I would like to do Project Life with her. After learning a bit more about the world of digital scrapbooking I decided to give it a try. So I embarked on Project Life. You can read my quick post about it here. I don't do it everyday but I also try not to save a layout for only the special or monumental occasions. Lindsay also does a much better job of explaining the whole thing here. A work in progress). January 12 of 12. Can we please get well? February 12 of 12.

The Carroll Clan: 31 Things: Days 8 & 9
http://becky-liz.blogspot.com/2012/06/31-things-days-8-9.html
31 Things: Days 8 and 9. Today’s stories are quick glimpse into some history. The first is about my cars. As I write this, however, I neglected to mention any fender benders or anything of that nature. Hmm…maybe that will have to be a part 2. The second story is about purchases. Big ones and little ones and the ones that you have to scrimp and save for. Here we go…. My first car was a 1989 Jeep Wrangler. Loved that Jeep and it started my continued desire to own something from the Jeep family of vehicles.

Everything's funny, but this. Do I think that some people deserve to die for the crimes they commit? Ab-so-freakin'-lutely. Do I think that some crimes that are not even eligible for the death penalty should be? Oh yes. But in my eyes, putting even one innocent person to death is too many. Find that interesting, knowing what I know about the justice system. Either way - it's just who I am. Thanks for letting me vent. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.
