Most of the River has been littered with plastic bags and bottles, Tim Hortons cups, and other forms of garbage, but less so than I had initially expected. On Wednesday, March 22nd, World Water Day, I took my canoe out to Silver Islet on Lake Superior to take it for a test run. It was a bit scary paddling in frigid water all alone. I resolved to stay as close to shore as possible. As I pushed off, it began to snow. Check out my new canoe. Isn't it nice?
