The days have a chill to them now and with the leaves falling I thought it was time to try a British classic, Toad in the Hole, for dinner. It's a simple batter you pour over hot oil and sausages and bake in the oven. I liked Jamie Oliver's suggestion to add rosemary- gives a nice flavor. The typical English recipe doesn't add spice.).
