Thoughts From Crudd: June 2011
http://thoughtsfromcrudd.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Wonderful Wedded Weekend Without Wippersnappers. But, we were with children. and we hadn't "escaped" anywhere exotic. So, we made plans for the girls to go stay with Grandma! Friday night to Sunday afternoon, free! As free as if we were just the two of us! It has been longer than I can remember since this has happened, and it was well overdue! To us without so much as a glance backwards! We looked at each other and were confused. what do we do now? The next day, we slept until.

Book reviews, political links, general musings. My “Immoral” Choice. Posted by Sara @ Paperfences. Asymp; 24 Comments. Should i abort down syndrome. A few days ago, the following tweet was addressed to renowned atheist Richard Dawkins:. I honestly don’t know what I would do if I were pregnant with a kid with Down Syndrome. Real ethical dilemma. Richard Dawkins’s Reply:. Abort it and try again. It would be immoral to bring it into the world if you have the choice. Suffering is being inconvenienced. This i...

Monday, April 2, 2012. Countdown to our IMPENDING DOOM! The time is now 9:30pm on April 2nd, 2012. Until our lives change forever and Lucy joins us! Welcome snuggle time, suckling noises, Iowa class burps, and that new baby smell! Also welcome less than 2 hours consecutive sleep, smelling like spit-up, showers shorter than pit stops at Nascar, and sneaky, unidentifiable stains on clothes I thought were safe to wear out in public! Oh, and the reopening of the Rudd Dairy. So excited for you! 14 Ways Our At...

Thoughts From Crudd: I'm On Fire!
http://thoughtsfromcrudd.blogspot.com/2012/03/im-on-fire.html
Friday, March 16, 2012. The last few days I have been on fire! Full of great ideas! 1 After an e-mail from a parent stating they want to get their child on an IEP, my brain started working on this problem. The student has not qualified before because of good test scores. But something was bothering me, and I couldn't put my finger on it. I have now figured it out! Test scores don't measure cognitive functions. (another problem with standardized testing! Beneficial with fresh ideas I did not know earlier&...

Thoughts From Crudd: January 2011
http://thoughtsfromcrudd.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 7, 2011. I have a terrible two year old and a frightening four year old. The oldest is the most baffling. She's smart, funny, beautiful and totally infuriating! She randomly refuses to do things we ask of her, digressing into some sort of crazy madwoman, complete with tears, wails, throwing and kicking. She's moody, one minute saying, "I love you, Mommy! And the next she's screaming, "I hate you Mommy! And the two year old just thinks it's normal, so she starts doing the same thing. In th...

http://thoughtsfromcrudd.blogspot.com/2012/07/i-get-to-teach.html
Friday, July 27, 2012. I get to teach! I get a class to teach next year! It is one section of 21 students, but they are all mine 5th hour and I get to fill their little heads with US history! I will not have my own classroom, so I'll have to figure out how to go about doing that. I don't think we have any books either. I know they used a website last year that acted as a text book. I have a ton of worksheets and supplies, somewhere on my bookshelf at home, so maybe they will finally get used! Podcast450:...

Thoughts From Crudd: Hashing, chewing, gnawing
http://thoughtsfromcrudd.blogspot.com/2012/12/hashing-chewing-gnawing.html
Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Hashing, chewing, gnawing. I just deleted an entire post because it was me, me, me, me, me. And poor, poor, poor me. It's been so long because I'm just a little black rain cloud, and I don't want to pass it on. I'm not very happy with myself right now, and this negative energy I'm putting out to the universe is really coming back to bite me in the butt. So here are some things that are going right in my world of wrong:. 2 Addie and Emily are happy, healthy, and bright. Please ...
