Until then, we’re loving the pictures and we look forward to our 1st Skype video call. I remember the week before we were about to get on a plane and fly to Africa. The View From Here. We are Shawn and Jenn DeAtley in Senegal, Africa. Yesterday was just an average day, but average day after average makes up our life, does it not? I woke up around 7:30, thinking first about my eye, and wondering if it had improved since my whole painful eye dilemma . I took a shower and hustled around before Rachel arrived for our French class at 8:30 am. Shawn and I kiss good morning and ask how the other person slept. It often goes a little something like this:. Me: You sleep good?

The View From Here. We are Shawn and Jenn DeAtley in Senegal, Africa. Eye dilemma, pancakes. Jenn's eye is red and, well, you wouldn't really want to see it anyway. So, here's a googled eye instead! Jenn has been having an awful past few days with her left eye. Long story short, we found an eye DR in our neighborhood and he said that she has a cut in her eye (OUCH is right) and gave us three prescriptions for eye drops. Praying. Thanking God for a DR nearby. Shawn's making breakfast for dinner!

Wednesday, February 13, 2013. One day Ava found the Dr's set, and put the stethoscope around her neck all on her own. She walked around like this all day, silly girl! Ava Joy 17 months old). Found her asleep like this one night, and thought it was too funny. Doesn't look very comfortable. Still looks pretty happy even though she was feeling sick that day :(. Building snow men with Dad (this is one of the kids VERY favorite things to do). It;s getting bigger. Then they had a friendly snow ball fight!
