Crystabel's Garden: Corn!
http://crystabelsgarden.blogspot.com/2011/02/corn.html
My adventures in gardening. Wednesday, February 23, 2011. The corn is coming up! Today I was out spraying it with BT because I am NOT going to have cutworms eat it all this year. We had a few surprise cold days come up and I lost the watermelon, squash and spinach, but no worries because I started some more today. So, short blog, but here are a few pics of what's coming up in the garden! February 24, 2011 at 10:27 AM. Great news on the corn! April 18, 2011 at 2:34 PM. May 16, 2011 at 2:09 PM.

Crystabel's Garden: August 2009
http://crystabelsgarden.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
My adventures in gardening. Thursday, August 27, 2009. It's a squash takeover! Look at this monstrous plant! I must have killed about 100 worms on my summer squash yesterday. Squish, squish, squish. My fingers were pretty green LOL, but I have no coordination with gloves on. I'm going to try to bag the fruit the moment I see the flower open (i'll help pollinate to be sure). We'll see how that works. Friday, August 21, 2009. Corn, corn, corn. Pfft I also stuck a tiki torch into the squash/corn bed for the...

Crystabel's Garden: July 2010
http://crystabelsgarden.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
My adventures in gardening. Thursday, July 29, 2010. Cleaning Up Day 1 and 2 - Shortest blog of mine ever! 10 minutes yesterday weeding, and 10 minutes today. A little progress! Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Wanna see something really scary? Remember that line from the beginning of Twilight Zone the movie? Ok, the grass in the yard is really long too but that's because the mower broke right before we went on vacation and we just got a new one. Will have to get the kiddo to mow that later tonight. There are 1...

Crystabel's Garden: January 2011
http://crystabelsgarden.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
My adventures in gardening. Thursday, January 27, 2011. What WAS this thing? When I picked it up I found that it's bottom half - very wormy/caterpillary like - was inside an old stalk of some small plant. I mean small like an old flower stem or even the stem of some cilantro or other herb. Sorry about the fuzzy pics but these were the best that would come out. And then of course it was squished/squashed and there were no more photo opportunities. Anyone know what it is? Wednesday, January 26, 2011. I pla...

Jen's Victory Garden: July 2009
http://jensvictorygarden.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 31, 2009. Doesn't have the same inflection. When I saw my first pea, I ran in the house shouting "I GOTTA PEA! And my mother said "well THERE'S the bathroom! Not the same here but I finally harvested my two Pear trees. I think I have FINALLY gotten in the same BALLPARK as EG and Granny. I harvested 135 lb of Pears! I also harvest 2 1/2 lbs of cucumbers and peppers and stuff, and 3 lbs a few days before that. I gotta figure up how much the total is! Hehehe I love pears. Monday, July 27, 2009.

Somewhere, in an alternate dimension, the non-sick me is typing this while sipping a homebrewed beer instead of a cup of tea. When my family visited last, my mom drank my last bags of my comfort tea (Chinese White). I am a sad gardener. Harvest Monday: July 22, 2013. Regardless, I pulled in another batch of colorful peppers. A Rainbow of Assorted Peppers.

Jen's Victory Garden: Storms Passed
http://jensvictorygarden.blogspot.com/2010/04/storms-passed.html
Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Well, the storms came and went. I thank that Lord everyday that we didn't get the terrible weather that Mississippi and Alabama did. Such devastation in such a short amount of time. The worst for us was around 7 PM and it rained hard with straight-line winds (I think that is right). I mean that rain was horizontal! Looks like a bunch of clover invaded the box LOL but the carrots are not showing their faces yet. April 27, 2010 at 7:41 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Swidge...

Jen's Victory Garden: June 2009
http://jensvictorygarden.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. As you can see, I am not as creative as my other blogger friends. You guys can come up with the best stories and I sit here pondering for a better description of my progress, but nothing comes. So! This is me. DEAL WITH IT! OK here is my container with spinach and some summer (heat tolerable) lettuce. The spinach looks pretty sickly but he has done so much better than the other attempts. Can you identify what kind of tomato plant this is? This is my corn. Woohoo! Here are my bush ...
