It was raining when I started the day, when I ended the day and several times in between. Despite that, it was a great day of riding (353 miles) with beautiful scenery. Thursday, July 9, 2015. Run to the Rockies; Day 4. The last day of my ride to the Rockies. I left La Junta, Colorado at 6:30. It was cloudy and 60 degrees. Hwy 50 took me through Lakin, KS, hometown of my lovely daughter, Heather. (Making points with my daughters this trip.). When riding alone one thinks about many different things. East of Jetmore I was thinking about what type of food I wanted for lunch. I had a little snack in Jetmore so that probably got me thinking! Run to the Rockies; Day 4.

Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Run to the Rockies; Day 3. Yesterday evening I made a post on Facebook saying I was in Montrose, CO. Facebook friend, Latisha, made a comment, advising me that her parents (Mike and Jill) were camping in Ouray, CO. Mike is my cousin. I decided to try to see them. Friday, May 15, 2015. Smoky Mountains Trip; Day 10. Today was our last day. We departed our motel at 8:00 and it was 64 degrees with cloudy skies. From Farmington, MO we rode north a short distance to catch Hwy 8, which took us through Potosi and Steelville to St. James. The sun had come out and it was a beautiful morning. After a short break we continued north through Vienna and Freeburg to Jefferson City, where we enjoyed lunch at a Mexican restaurant. After removing our rain gear we rode on home.
