Take down a rock and concrete retaining wall along the shore of Price’s land and replace it with a wattle fence. The project was part of a twoday workshop/workparty event, funded by the Pacific Salmon Foundation.

The other main harvesting activity in the basin is on crown woodlots, where the logging footprint is generally lighter, but for which the long term objective is the same: industrial length rotations of a planted crop of commercially valuable trees rather than older age classes and full biodiversity. Cumulative impact is again not a factor considered in woodlot allocation or management.
