Kathryn in NZ: Bouncing Back in Black
http://kfbinnz.blogspot.com/2015/06/bouncing-back-in-black.html
Ramblings from the Evil Gym Mom. Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Bouncing Back in Black. Tamsin stopped Rhythmic Gymnastics last July, and in term 4 started doing recreation Trampoline - just for something fun. So today was her first ever trampoline competetion: the low key Auckland Secondary Schools, very nicely run by ASB College Sport. And of course, there was a new leo (she needed a slightly bigger size, anyway), using one of her favourites out of the stash cupboard. Women's B Grade (19 competitors). Quilte...

Kathryn in NZ: July 2014
http://kfbinnz.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Ramblings from the Evil Gym Mom. Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Not finished with purple just yet. The little niece of one of the Argos gymnasts is starting rhythmic now she's five, so naturally she needed a leo made just for her, in her favourite colours. I'll be handing this one over on Friday, when Tink and I drive down to Tauranga for the Midlands Rhythmic Champs this weekend. Feedback on the Facebook post suggests she'll need to be bribed to change out of it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Between You and Me.

Kathryn in NZ: Made to be loud...
http://kfbinnz.blogspot.com/2015/06/made-to-be-loud.html
Ramblings from the Evil Gym Mom. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Made to be loud. When making leos, one has to apply what we call the "40 foot rule", that is, how will it look from a distance? Sometimes, one has to just get on with it and make a loud leo, a really 'in yer face' one in colour and design. So, here they are - my latest attempts at leos that yell "here I am" on the floor:. I don't like it, but Tamsin does, saying it was really comfy. I've been wanting to make a white with blue and pink leo for Tink f...

Kathryn in NZ: September 2014
http://kfbinnz.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Ramblings from the Evil Gym Mom. Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Getting ready for NZ Gymsports Nationals. It was ZM4 last weekend; the last competition before Nationals, the last chance to get any upgrades out on the floor and work the kinks out - so to speak. Tamsin had upgrades, a better end sequence and new leotard to test out. Clare made it, and it looked great on the floor, getting lots of comments. Nationals is now only 3 weeks away. GO TINK! Kathryn in NZ: Flintstones in the Ice Age
http://kfbinnz.blogspot.com/2015/06/flintstones-in-ice-age.html
Ramblings from the Evil Gym Mom. Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Flintstones in the Ice Age. I got to make a leo for another lovely Howick gymnast this past week. Her music is from the movie Ice Age and she really, really liked Tamsin's L5 clubs leotard but it was too big for her. So the leopard print stash got raided:. Size 8, with cosmojet and copper swarovski crystals. Delivered today to a very happy gymnast, in time for the Counties competition. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
