This is the "Forest Floor" rock I am working on these days, trying to capture the look of a branch with moss almost covering it, in this case an arbutus branch embedded in french knots appearing like moss.well the closest I can get to moss. Sunday, March 16, 2014. Getting cozy with tea cozies and workbench frenzies. Here are my latest obsession.very cool tea cozies., lined with silk, trimmed out with melton cloth hand sewn, wet felted merino wool.have six, and apparently have few more calling.in between times mice are happening, which began with Bamboo the cat, finding a piece of felt cordage and going crazy, so long tailed mice are a big hit and are a pretty cute edition to the table! Saturday, July 17, 2010. Doubleknitting, adventures with fish. I have been busy with a new technique to me: doubleknitting. I love the challenge of knitting in positive/negative all the time and have been playing with it. The result, 2 doubleknit hats. And the other side. I made the lilly pads separately on pins so they can be placed anywhere on either side. Hat #2: 1 fish, 2 fish, r. And the other side. Doubleknitting can be a lot of work, concentration is key, but the results are very rewarding.

Friday, June 26, 2009. What is that drying above my head? But first things first. Last Sunday we had the first meeting "Under the plum tree" which wasn't under the tree as it was too chill, so we moved to the sun. 4 is a good start, nice visit, nice company, nice way to spend a couple of hours on Sunday morning. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. In between knitting projects, tired with the weather that keeps going up and down, decided to spin to relax.Wanted reds. Still trying to achieve some well balanced blends, silk and blue face leister. The result pleases me. 2 hours of spinning, enough for 2 hats or a scarf.
