I want to live in a loft. It's a two way street. I often consult her in regards to my relationship with others. Most of the time I'm just telling my life story while she sits in front of Facebook, occasionally nodding. Sometimes she asks me questions that encourage me to say more. I play along, because I know that's what she's trying to do. If she's in a good mood she'll prescribe a generous dose of tequila. In a sense, I strive for her validation of what seems to be my most intimate yet tortuous thoughts.

I fall in love too easily. I fall in love a hundred times a day. With the colour of her hair, or the perfume on his shirt, to the shade on her nails and the pattern on his tie. It could be the tune that you hum, the leather of your bag, the spring in your step, even that chip in your teeth you so bashfully hide. But what I love most is the the way someone talks. I can recall every conversation, remember the direction of your gaze, your tone, pace, pitch. That crooked smile when you speak of your friends.
