Friday, August 7, 2009. Puerto Rico: Day 5. Today it was decided that instead of taking a 2 hour bumpy bus. Ride to Ponce, the second oldest city in Puerto. Rico, we would stay in San Juan and explore more of the city. We took a visit to El Morro. Which is the oldest fortress in Puerto. Most of the music I am familiar with has a basic bass line to it which is generally easy to pick up. With the music from this area, there seems to be several percussion lines with different bass tracks to it. This could provide research topics for music electives classes.
