Sheffield Light Orchestra - Rehearsals

Our rehearsals take place in the Upper Hall of the Victoria Hall, Norfolk Street, in the centre of Sheffield. The Victoria Hall is located opposite the Crucible Theatre but the entrance to the hall is on Chapel Walk (almost opposite the rear entrance to M&S) and there is a lift and disabled access to our rehearsal room. Starting time:- 6.45 pm for 7 pm start. Finishing time:- 9.00 pm. Rehearsal dates for the 2016 calendar:. 7 April to 30 June. 8 September to 15 December. Email us at roydoris@sky.com.

Sue Botley has been playing the cello since she was 9 years old. She was given her opportunity to play when the Sheffield Education Authority first started supplying instruments and paratactic music teachers to schools. She was a founder member of the British Police Symphony Orchestra but due to work commitments now plays in small music groups and the SLO purely for pleasure.
