Blessings from Budapest: April 2012

These are my musings about my day-to-day adventures in Hungary. Monday, April 30, 2012. I love ice cream! Within the last two weeks the temperature in Hungary has gone from 10 degrees Celsius to over 30 degrees Celsius. It feels like July, but it is only April. I have had my share of ice cream the last few days. My favorite ice cream shop in Budapest is Dr. Gelato and my favorite flavor is 'After 8'. This post is dedicated to ice cream lovers everywhere! What is your favorite flavor? I love ice cream!

Friday, 30 January 2015. Note from the Pastor, January 18, 2015. When God has $100. By Jane Bosman (Pastor Peter’s sister). 160; What happens when 10 women, with $10 each, get together and seriously give that $100 to God? Friday, 23 January 2015. Hopeful Story, January 18, 2015. Hope Fellowship Church: Hopeful Story, August 2, 2015
http://hopefellowshipcourtice.blogspot.com/2015/08/hopeful-story-august-2-2015.html
Saturday, 8 August 2015. Hopeful Story, August 2, 2015. In the summer, people live under the illusion that nothing much happens in the church. Nothing could be further from the truth. For starters, July is the time that a lot of churches host a daily Vacation Bible School. That’s exactly what we did at Hope Fellowship as forty volunteers spent five intense mornings with one hundred children. Zion CRC ran the same program at their church in Oshawa and drew sixty-five kids. Blogs you might like. Walking wi...

Hope Fellowship Church: Note from the Sun, July 19, 2015
http://hopefellowshipcourtice.blogspot.com/2015/07/note-from-sun-july-19-2015.html
Wednesday, 29 July 2015. Note from the Sun, July 19, 2015. It had been a slow day. The weather outside was unpredictable with the wind picking up and the black clouds rolling in. Many of our clients are young parents that come in regularly to check out the donations and to chat. Today, a couple had dropped in while out and about because they needed shelter from the rain. As they visit, we always have organizing things to do. And what joy when the baby is born! It was a dream come true! In the midst of it...

Hope Fellowship Church: Hopeful Story, June 14, 2015
http://hopefellowshipcourtice.blogspot.com/2015/06/hopeful-story-june-14-2015.html
Sunday, 28 June 2015. Hopeful Story, June 14, 2015. One of the things that I’ve always appreciated about Hope Fellowship is the freedom to try something different. I’ve even been told, “Surprise us.”. This is much more liberating than the old standby, “We’ve never done it that way before.”. In the last two years we have tried something really different. We integrated the spring All Church Meeting and a Sunday service. Our reasons? Here’s what I learned. It says that the worship service must include appro...

Hope Fellowship Church: April 2015
http://hopefellowshipcourtice.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 21 April 2015. Hopeful Story, April 12, 2015. 160; When our daughter and her fiancé said that they wanted a Destination Wedding, I felt very uneasy. After having raised our children in a Christian Home, Christian elementary and high school, they would be getting married by a Justice of The Peace. I was sad there would be no Christian, personal message (like Pastor Peters at Allyson and Adrians wedding). Thursday, 16 April 2015. Hopeful Story, April 5, 2015. Wednesday, 15 April 2015.

Hope Fellowship Church: Hopeful Story, July 19, 2015
http://hopefellowshipcourtice.blogspot.com/2015/07/hopeful-story-july-19-2015.html
Sunday, 19 July 2015. Hopeful Story, July 19, 2015. It’s quiet in the office this week (so very quiet after last week’s VBS excitement! Pastor Peter is away, there hasn’t been much contact with people—it seems that lots of people are away—and I’ve been working away on catching up on things. It was evident he knew what he was doing and I soon noticed his sunny disposition. He helped with a temporary fix so I could at least drive home. When he was done he mentioned my tattoo, the holy spirit emblem...Pleas...
