The Beauty of our Street - Miss Lindsay Lane
http://misslindsaylane.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-beauty-of-our-street.html
Previous and Ongoing Collaborations. The Beauty of our Street. August 10, 2015. When I came home from doing my grocery shoppings during a summer evening last week, I took a good look at my street, beautifully lit by the setting sun. Really, I have to brag . Ben and I are blessed with the exterior (and interior aswell) of our home. So much sophistication! I realised that it was pérfect for outfit photos and was puzzled by myself why I never did before. The front of our house is adorned with beautiful pink...

Diary of a Vintage Girl | Vintage Fashion & Lifestyle: A Quiet Patch
http://www.diaryofavintagegirl.com/2015/03/a-quiet-patch.html
Monday, 30 March 2015. A punny title as ever, for a simple outfit post. Haven't done one of these for a while! Basically, this outfit represents the kind of thing I will probably be wearing most days during the spring (at least when it warms up). The outfit consists of the following. A signature Heyday. Fleur dress, which was done in a custom fan print fabric for me a quite surprising number of years ago (maybe 4 years? A pair of Miss L Fire. Bolero wedges and a denim jacket scored from Beyond Retro.

Chronically Vintage: A woman of emails
http://www.chronicallyvintage.com/2015/01/a-woman-of-emails.html
January 13, 2015. A woman of emails. Maybe the abundance of snow. Played a little roll, perhaps it was that busy days of the holiday season caught up with me on the health front (which they did – big time! Or it might have been the million and one other things - those various elements that make up life and are often points of worry for many of us - but last week was a bit of "one of those weeks" for me. Emails, the 21st century version of the telephone call in many ways, arriving by the boatload to inbox...

My six-month shopping ban | Retro Reporter
http://www.retro-reporter.com/2015/01/my-six-month-shopping-ban.html
An Edmonton vintage lifestyle blog. My six-month shopping ban. Saturday, January 10, 2015. I’ve been thinking about doing this for a few weeks now, and I suppose with a new year getting underway it’s the perfect time to do it. As of January 1, I've undergone a six-month shopping ban. My shopping ban is inspired by one of my favourite Canadian personal finance bloggers, Cait of Blonde on a Budget. Who started her year-long shopping ban in July. When I say ban, I don’t mean I can’t buy anything. Transporta...

Breathing Life: Just don't lie to me
https://mary-mann.blogspot.com/2015/08/just-dont-lie-to-me.html
A diary of the second half of life. A life that includes swimming, knitting, parenting, depression, love, humour, faith, and grace. Not necessarily in that order. Monday, August 17, 2015. Just don't lie to me. I can take a lot. The thought that people lie. That is a hard one. Sure, you will say. Everyone lies. True, I guess. but there are lies, and there are Lies. It is hard when someone claims to lie to spare my feelings. Or to spare their's. It was hard to acknowledge that I lie. To make a story better.

Winterlime Knits: FO: Cold Springs.

Wednesday, September 24, 2014. September 9, 2014. September 23, 2014. Skaska Designs 50/50 Merino and Silk, about 240 yards (19 grams). I was using the partial cake left over from Hanami. And now have 39 grams left in the cake. Size 2 DPNs. This was a mistake. The pattern calls for size 1s if working with laceweight, and despite my being a tight knitter, size 2s were simply too big. The pattern is Hand Springs Fingerless Mitts. Are quickly becoming my go-to quick gift patterns. I think the way youre bloc...

Breathing Life: Keeping them safe
https://mary-mann.blogspot.com/2015/08/keeping-them-safe.html
A diary of the second half of life. A life that includes swimming, knitting, parenting, depression, love, humour, faith, and grace. Not necessarily in that order. Saturday, August 8, 2015. When my children were little I did my best to keep them safe and to be there when they needed me. I put aloe on their sunburns, and made oatmeal baths when they had chicken pox. I gave them cool baths when their fevers were too high, and ran the steamer all through the night when they had croup. They are both adults now.
