Wednesday, March 31, 2010. I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's Love. Indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus." Ro 8. For Easter this week we delivered a special Greek sweet bread called "Tsoureki" to the girls working in brothels. And in response to many requests by the Nigerian girls, we collected, wrapped and delivered 80 Bibles and bookmarks to the girls working on the streets. A familiar song but su...

It involves relaxed mornings, a cup. Some reading. Staying home until late morning is an infrequent occurrence in my homeland and will be. Seriously, so efficient, so clean and nothing makes a great story like one that involves a jam-packe. Tro on a 100 degre. Om A to B. 3 My language s. 5 This lovely quilt.

Monday, November 1, 2010. If not, here's my 'riveting' story about her. http:/ hhorsch.blogspot.com/2010 05 01 archive.html. She is doing so well! She is still in the shelter away from Athens but she plans to go back to Romania where we've connected her with people she can stay with until she figures out her next steps. She regularly goes to church, she looks healthier and she wants to end up helping people in prostitution! Please pray for The Escapee (who actually has a better name than that! Letter fro...

Wednesday, December 30, 2009. I really am going to Greece. In ONE WEEK! I leave Jan 6. This week's challenge is to pack all my worldly possessions into 2 bags, soak up time with my family and mentally prep for the adventure ahead. Hmmm, I'll be busy this week. Also, I just read this book by David Batstone. So good. Great explanation of slavery in our time. Did you know that more slaves are in bondage today than were bartered in four centuries of the transatlantic slave trade? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Monday, November 29, 2010. Random assortment of thoughts. I wanted to update today but my brain overfloweth and I can't seem to bring order to my many clever blog ideas. So I will share a few random things. Do you wonder what I do here when I'm not on Outreach? Well, I have office hours and I do officey things. I've discovered this year that I'm wired more administratively. I mean, I guess I knew that. But as a team we have seen first hand that God equipped each part of the body with DIFFERENT. This is i...

Monday, April 26, 2010. T was so great to have. My family here in Athens with me for Easter week! It makes it feel more like home when your people are able to see where you live and work. Along with much fun in the sun, we also toured the brothel area I frequent. They got to see the rows of white lights and we spied on a 60-ish, businessman-looking, customer leaving.that was exciting for the Horsches. About an hour later, following some w. Monday, September 20, 2010. Thank you for your prayers last wk! And I was buoyed by your words of encouragement! Thursday night's mission was to deli. Ver the long-promised Bible to her. She grabbed it out of Annette's hands and said her "joy is complete now! A few Nigerian girls when ALL OF A SUDDEN. Caps cleverly added for dramatic effect). There was a stream of ."things". flying from the sky! And landing with a LOUD thud. One hit right at my feet and shattered. Were coming from a room up above or maybe from the rooftop? Thursday, October 14, 2010. No to Drugs and Prostitution in the City Center"...
