The way I see it…. Book Review: Cry, The Beloved Country. Catching Up →. February 8, 2015. Last Friday I went up to the city with two things on my list… my day did not turn out as expected, but I had fun exploring a couple new places. My day started in Chinatown…. Chinatown is crammed full of all sorts of entertaining things:. The cable car signs in China Town are English on one side and Chinese on the other:. I spent some time on the labyrinth with some pretty stained glass light on the floor:. My next ...

Capitola | The way I see it...
https://melissakae45.wordpress.com/2015/02/01/capitola
The way I see it…. February 1, 2015. I took the afternoon of MLK day off to join a couple good friends for some quality time and another trip to the beach. This time a little further south in Capitola. We started with lunch at Gayle’s–a bustling deli and bakery with all sorts of delicious looking options. Lunch was followed by a bakery splurge and some hot chocolate, which we took with us down to the beach where we settled into the sand for some sunshine and conversation. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Clark and Holly: May 2009

Friday, May 29, 2009. We all knew the Cavs weren't that good. By the way, did anyone notice how many different puppet commercials Nike aired during that last Lakers game? I guess the milk was going bad and they had to down the whole carton before the expiration date. On a more positive note, congrats to Kobe and team on a perfectly played game. Best of luck in the Finals. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Adam and Kandis Barlow. Amber and Jeff Dahl. M and R Huntsman. Amber, Jeff and Will.

Halls in the Pines. Tuesday, December 23, 2008. For those of you who aren't too familiar with Arizona, the state does have areas that get snow. Show Low is at about 6500 feet. They say in years past that the snow could get as deep as 5 or 6 feet. The most we have seen is 3 feet in one storm. Well, today we got snow so we can have a white Christmas! Monday, December 22, 2008. Sadee looked more like a hippie than an angel, but was sure cute),. And a baby Jesus. Thursday, December 4, 2008. Every other year ...

Halls in the Pines: April 2009
http://utazhalls.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Halls in the Pines. Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Broken Bone, Birthday, and Balloons. Today is Katee's first birthday. We had a fun day just doing some of our normal things, then we had friends over for dinner and cake. She had a great day until the balloons came out. Her buddy Luke started squeezing one and it squeeked a lot and from then on she was terrified. The looks on her face were hilarious! Und that when her friends came, not only did they know her, but it got her some good attention! Sadee Joy age 4.

The way I see it…. Book Review: The Hiding Place. A bit of beauty →. Book Review: Daring Greatly. March 8, 2015. Let’s start with Brene’s definition of love:. 8220;We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection. Love is not something we give or get; it is something we nurture and grow, a connection that can only be cultivated between tw...

...and all that jazz: April 2013
http://jeremystwoeyes.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
And all that jazz. Friday, April 26, 2013. This past weekend I made one of my friends rent "Lincoln", I say made because he really didn't want to watch it at all, but before it even ended he was telling me what a great choice I had made. It was a very well made movie and enjoyable to watch. Some where towards the last half of the movie there is a clip that really got me thinking on some interesting thoughts. I think I found that answer in the movie "Lincoln". In these amazing moments with those singe...

Letterpress Core Two | The way I see it...
https://melissakae45.wordpress.com/2015/02/15/letterpress-core-two
The way I see it…. Book Review: The Hiding Place →. February 15, 2015. I took the second of my letterpress classes this week. Our project was a one color broadside print – a few lines of type and a picture. We spent the first night of class selecting and setting type. The next night we finished setting and locked the type up in the press and mixed this pretty green ink:. I’m hoping to take the last two classes by mid summer and then I have all sorts of projects in mind🙂. September 13, 2015 at 9:29 pm.

The way I see it…. Book Review: Cry, The Beloved Country →. February 1, 2015. I found a fun font and a quote from C.S. Lewis that I love. Here’s my typeset:. All locked up in the press:. And the finished project:. When I wasn’t on the press (there’s a bit of down time with a handful of people in the class, I wandered around the shop taking pictures. I especially love the wood type:.
