We walked into the historic Sheraton in downtown Telluride. And asked for a room for two nights. They have just completed an $8 million renovation and it is gorgeous. Jim and Shelley's Great Adventure. Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Grand Canyon, Az. We arrived at the Grand Canyon and while I was checking in, Jim was running to look over the edge. I could hardly pull him away. He was so excited that we threw our luggage into the room and took off on a 3.5 mile vigorous walk along the rim as the sun was setting. Narrow gauge railroad trip and we were lucky to found out that it only runs Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 am - 3 pm so we just made it. We bought tickets and Jim was drooling.
