3,000km cycle through 7 countries in 2 months. April 27, 2016. There was no way I was going to miss the eurostar this morning, so I gave myself nearly two hours to spare, even though it was only a 15 minute cycle to the station from the hostel. Anyway I got on the train in time and the 1.5 hour journey went really quickly, in no time I was on home ground at st Pancras! 3 thoughts on “ I’M HOME. April 27, 2016. So glad you made the right de idiom for yourself! You were doing it for you, not anyone else!

3,000km cycle through 7 countries in 2 months. Newer posts →. April 11, 2016. 7th April- Rossatz- Amstetten- 90km. It rained most of last night so I didn’t get a lot of sleep, but at least I was warm enough. That’s the problem with camping; as much as I love waking up outdoors it’s not the best nights sleep. I tried to time getting up and packing when the rain had stopped and got most of it done, but when it came to packing the tent away the rain started. April 9, 2016. Armed with my properly pumped up t...

3,000km cycle through 7 countries in 2 months. April 25, 2016. 15th- 17th April- Strasbourg- rest weekend. Nik’s mum came to visit me the weekend, which was just what I needed after a tough few days on the bike- mentally not physically. I arrived a little earlier and got to the hotel to make the most of the nice bathroom (all to myself), comfy bed, TV and a kettle to make as much tea as I wanted. It’s the little things eh? We didn’t just shop though, we checked out the cathedral in the main square ...

3,000km cycle through 7 countries in 2 months. April 27, 2016. 18th April- Strasbourg to Lille. After a hearty breakfast Hils and I set off for the train station so I could see her off, then set off to head in the direction of Reims- which I anticipated would take 4 days. Got to Lille around 4pm and hung around in the hostel for the evening, which had a real buzz to it and some nice people to talk to. I still had the first voice in my head, but the second was definitely overpowering it. Newer post →.

Cycling to work and back, to the shops….anytime that I can use my bike instead of the car.Sometimes I even get on it just for fun and fresh air! April commuting, inconvenience and injury. May 12, 2015. Have ridden) I picked it up from a brilliant if verbose mechanic who waived the price for the rear cassette for the wait. It says something about my reliance of riding a bike to commute that I found this episode wholly more inconvenient than not having a car. A sparse April, not as good as March. New botto...

Saturday, January 17, 2009. What Was His Name-O? Driving home one day last week, at a stop light, we pulled up right next to the big truck that had delivered our Miche Bag shipment the week before. As I got close enough to see, I saw that it was the same driver too, and mentioned this to my boys. Carter asked me, "What's his name? I said, "I don't know, I forgot to ask him.". Carter answered, "I think it's Bingo". Yep, he knows the song. Sunday, January 4, 2009. A very enthusiastic shake shake shake.
