passing thoughts...: My Buddy Marlon...
http://meredithljones.blogspot.com/2009/02/my-buddy-marlon.html
An active journal of my experiences as a Christian and as a nurse in southern Honduras. God is faithful. I think maybe, sometimes in Honduras it is hard for people to see that; to recognize that God is faithful, when they are surrounded by so much poverty, and hardship, and hopelessness. But never the less, it is true, and God is making that clear in the case of Marlon Herrera. 160;The hospital, as well, will be giving us a huge discount. God is faithful. Thanks for your love and support! I am a medic...

An active journal of my experiences as a Christian and as a nurse in southern Honduras. It's that time of year again! Time to dust off your old shoeboxes and fill the with gifts for sweet little children in Honduras. Last year we were able to bless 9,500 children in Honduras with Christmas gifts, yet we still fell short. This year we are aiming to bless 12,000 children who would otherwise not receive a Christmas gift! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Follow me on Twitter.

passing thoughts...: Children's Day
http://meredithljones.blogspot.com/2009/09/childrens-day.html
An active journal of my experiences as a Christian and as a nurse in southern Honduras. Though not the best video ever, I posted this because I want y'all to see how FUN my job is! Because of the poverty in Agua Fria, the kids up there weren't going to be able to celebrate this day set aside especially for them, so we decided to help them celebrate! With little gift bags, lots of candy and a pinata we set off from the office for the jungle. Now, if only I had a video of that. maybe next time.

An active journal of my experiences as a Christian and as a nurse in southern Honduras. To top it all off, after hours of fun at Chiminike we took the kids to McDonald's and filled them up on hamburgers and french fries! Completely tuckered out and now with full bellies the 21 content little faces laid down and slept as we journed back in the big yellow school bus to our oasis in the mountains. The best part of the trip you ask? Last Thursday the MDs were finally able to wean Aleyda off of the ventilator...

The Adventures of the Courington Family: Eyes Wide Opened
http://couringtonfamily.blogspot.com/2014/09/eyes-wide-opened.html
The Adventures of the Courington Family. Wednesday, September 10, 2014. It's been a long time since I've blogged. I got tired of journaling nothing but medical updates, which seemed to be my season, so I gave up on it. Ironically, it's what's brought me back to the blog. Hopefully, someday soon, we will be able to say the same for Kate. She was excited to try ANYTHING other than going to the doctor. What happened next was like a Sci-Fi horror film. Kate flipped her foot over and began pulling clumps ...
