Anuar drove Morgan, Mitzi and I to a city called Tepoztlán in his mom's super-fancy-pants, clean SUV – a sharp contrast from the public transportation I'm used to in gto. Tepoztlán, about an hour and a half drive outside. Of the Mexico City, is the supposed birthplace of the god Quetzalcoatl, and is famous for the remains of an Aztec temple built on top of the nearby Tepozteco mountain. Food, evolution and landscape (via Louisville). Wednesday, December 16. I grew up watching Nova, and am still a huge fan, so I was elated to visit a place that had it's own Nova special. Definitely check this out. The journey of the Monarch butterflies is amazing, taking 4 to 5 generations from Canada to reach the final destination of Michoacan, a state that borders Guanajuato to the south. This past weekend, we headed down. In Morelia, the capital of Michoacan. And became eye-level with the mariposas.

This is pear-fect for the summer heat: One ripe, green pear, 1 cup of orange juice, 2 ice cubes, 2 limes and 1 cup of ginger ale blended. Whether you decide to put bourbon in there or not is none of my business. Simple hummus with pine nuts. A re-mix of Shelly's cookie recipe baked in the toaster over. (I can't figure out our oven.). Mushroom, black bean and chile-de-árbol pizza.
